Dimitris Daskalopoulos, a Greek collector, has decided to donate over 300 works from his historic collection to the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, the Tate in London, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. The partitioning was carried out according to rules of thematic work-museum affiliation, with preference given to the Athens Museum, which will be able through art to help clear international debts and attract a new public to the museum. Among the donated works are the names of artists such as Stathis Logothetis, Louise Bourgeois, Steve McQueen, Sarah Lucas, and Kiki Smith.
